Desperado Declares

We had great weather for our Oct.19th Match. If you remember last Oct., we had to cancel our shoot due to unusually high winds. The fires started the next day. The high winds only missed us by a little over a week this year, but of course the fire was right on top of us. I received so many phone calls and e-mails from shooters asking about our range that I asked Calamity Candy to send out extra e-mails for us to keep the shooters updated on the status of our range.

It was heartwarming to learn how many shooters out there care about us. A Big Thank You To Calamity Candy for her help. As I said at the shooters meeting: “By the grace of God and those Fire Fighters, our range was saved, God bless those Fire Fighters.” There was a big round of applause from the shooters for the Fire Fighters. Panorama's crack construction crew sprung into action again and we rebuilt the retaining wall on range 5 that had turned to ashes. It's nice to have that wall to back up our pistol targets. We used most of what was left of the spare phone poles on the range. Saw-Yer Wood brought two 25 ft. phone poles from home. (How many people do we know that just happen to have a couple of phone poles laying around the yard?) Thanks to Gun Hawk, Tucson Bob, Saw-Yer Wood, Jim Walker, Himphil Hoppy and yours truly.  And  thanks to all the shooters who help us tear down the stages every month. The Great Northfield Raid is coming up next month. If you plan on shooting it with us, please send in that entry form, it really helps us plan things. We really would like to have ya all shoot with us. The top five shooters were.........  Muleskinner Pat, J.J.
