Wow, this was the second year in a row that it didn't rain on our February match. It was definitely cold in the early morning but turned out to be a beautiful day. We had a good turnout of shooters. Everyone seemed to like the stages, even though nobody cleaned the match. I guess we were all trying to shoot fast. The new shooters are doing well. Mustang Anne shot her 2nd match and is looking good, her husband Excalibur is getting better with every match as is Trusty Troy. Holster Holliday won the traditional category. |

Thanks to J.J. Johnson for helping us out in the posse-leading department. A big thank you to all of the shooters who help us tear down the stages and load the target trailers after the match. As usual the competition was hot and heavy. In the overall finish, Tex Fiddler edged out Swifty Swede by 1.55 sec., J.J. Johnson slipped by Cold Iron Charly by .30 sec., Doc Hollywood beat out Longarm by .28 of a sec., Coffee finished ahead of Ruby Rain by .26 sec., Trusty Troy finished faster than Garryowen by .19 sec. and Pecos Pike got by Bodie-601 by .23 sec. My good friend, Latin Gun, kicked my butt again. Long Swede was the overall match winner. Hope to see ya all next time. |
