Desperado Declares

All of us that bought those new reject $12 white shirts at Winter Range to wear on hot days wore them Sunday… wrong!  It turned out to be a little chilly, but the sun did come out when the match was over.

Ignatius Guns said his Grandson is slowly getting better, that's good news.

Mild Bill Hiccup is still in the hospital recovering from a heart attack he suffered last month; he still needs our prayers.

Swifty Swede had his appendix removed last week and is doing well.

Givadam Scarlett told us that Lead D'Spencer stayed too long at a St. Patrick's Day party Saturday night and would not be able to make it to the match, can you imagine that.

Quite a few shooters that we haven't seen for a while came out to play Cowboy with us, it's always good to see old friends.

We had six shooters who shot the match clean, congrats to you all

Thanks to High Country, J.J.Johnson and Ignatius Guns for helping out in the posse leading department.

A big thank you to Calamity Candy for all of her effort in keeping us informed of all the clubs shooting schedules, special events and lots of other information we need to know.

Buckeye Lady shot with us for the 2nd time and won the Ladies Traditional category, congratulations girl.

Muleskinner Pat shot in the Senior Duelist category, for the 1st time, I don't think he liked it. Tex Fiddler had his usual good day and won the match with a 174.79, I wonder if Wild Bird had a long ride home.

Cold Iron Charly finished 0.44 seconds faster than Lefty Longridge, I thought I heard Lefty say that he wasn't going to give Cold Iron any more lessons. Boothill Tom beat out Desperado by 0.05 seconds, that's OK.; he has a lower SASS number than I do. Marshal Sturm got T.L. by 0.52 seconds. El Roberto finished 0.12 ahead of J.J Johnson and Mr.Wood was 0.70 seconds quicker than Left Paw McGraw, is this game getting tight or what.

There was a discussion after the match about re-shoots. The SASS Shooters Handbook states that SASS matches above the club level are "no alibi" matches, once the first round goes down range, the competitor is committed to the stage and must finish the shooting problem to the best of his ability. Panorama and the Northfield Raiders adhere to that rule at our monthly matches and I will include that at the shooter meetings. Check page 31 in the Twelfth edition, March 2006.

Hope to see ya all next time.
