NEXT MATCH: March 18th

Desperado Declares

Our web site was down most of last month due to problems with our service provider. Our web master Leadgiver found a new provider and got us back on line, thanks pard.

Sunday’s weather on the 18th was cool and sunny and the first February in years that it didn't rain on our match.  It must have been the shooters that kept the rain away. We had a good turn out and saw friends that we haven't see for a while and some long time shooters that shot at our match for the first time and loved it.

Muleskinner Pat shot his first match in the senior category and finished fourth out of fifteen, right behind Garryowen, T.L. and Tex Fiddler.  There was a whopping 94/100 of a second difference between Garryowen and T.L.  I dropped 3 on the first stage and it did not get better. I ran into Cold Iron Charly during the match and he said he wasn't shooting well either.  That made me fell better.  Hell, I finished only seven spots behind him.

Swifty Swede managed to get his pistol back into the holster this month and won the 49er category.

Deadwood Doc Smith and Buckeye Lady shot with us for the first time.  Deadwood Doc Smith won the Gunfighter category, nice shooting Doc.

Ignatius Guns’ grandson should have gone home from the hospital today, he's doing well but still needs our Cowboy prayers, they've helped so far; lets keep them coming.

The Northfield Raiders very own Mild Bill Hiccup, our chief computer, scoring guy and senior shooter had a serious heart attack while hiking in the Zion National Park.  He's still in the hospital and on a heart transplant list, he needs some Cowboy prayers also.

In December we asked if anyone actually reads the Northfield Gazette and would like to see it continue.  So far I've had two shooters tell me that they read and enjoy it, our site was off line for most of January, so we need to ask again.  Please email me at desperado-45@sbcglobal.net and let me know. Thanks.

Hope to see ya all next time.
