NEXT MATCH: January 21th

Desperado Declares

We held our last match of the year on Sunday. It was a light turnout due to the holiday season and the forecast of rain. Thirty-Two of us showed up to shoot, we formed three posse's and we had fun.  It didn't rain but it was cold. D. Trader got the fire going before the match and I think about Thirty-Two of us stood around it and kept warm

The top five shooters were, Smoke Parnell, Phantom, Garryowen, Cold Iron Charly and the overall winner was Tex Fiddler, congrats. to all.

Unfortunately we've lost another one of our fellow shooters.  Lawyer Dagget passed away on Saturday, Dec. 16th. after a long battle with cancer, he will be missed by us and by all of his friends. Our sincere condolences to his family.

It's hard to believe that we've come to the end of another year. It takes a lot of dedicated people to put on shooting matches month after month plus an annual match.  I want to thank all of the Panorama members and non-members who help make it happen. Our sign-up and scoring crew in the Northfield bank; Mild Bill Hiccup, Texas Yellow Rose, B Movie Buckaroo, Nancy, Desire' and our web master Leadgiver. Our cook shack crew; Lane, Sherry, Bobby, Gordon, Kirk and all of the others who pitch in throughout the year. The crew that designs the stages, sets up and tears down targets and facades; Tex Fiddler, Wild Bird, Leadgiver, St. Joes Sheriff, Gun Hawk, The Prez, Bodie-601, Lawgiver, Dale Rider and many others who help out through the year.

Most importantly a big thank you to the shooters who have supported us through the years. You guys and gals are the greatest.

I've been writing the Northfield Gazette for about four years along with my good friend Goldenruel, the editor-in-chief who has kept me from sounding like a complete idiot. We don't know how many of you actually read the Gazette. If you are reading this and would like to see it continue, please let me know, otherwise it may be time to (as they say in the trade) put the Gazette to bed. Thank You

Hope to see ya all next time.

THANKS TO THE PEOPLE WHO DONATED DOOR PRIZES

Rumshot, Siberian Sam,  Smoke Parnell,
St. Joes Sheriff, and Wild Bird

And to our always FAVORITE VENDOR

D. Trader
