DESPERADO DECLARES

I announced that we were moving The Great Northfield Raid, 2006, to the third week in November. Everyone felt that, because of the large number of other annual matches in October, November would be a lot more convenient. First, of course, we asked as many of you, the shooters, as we could contact, what month they preferred. Everybody told us that November was better, so we’re happy to oblige.

Our shoot on Easter Sunday was small but a lot of fun. We formed two posses and had at it. Many of our friends came out and shot with us and then hurried off for other Easter festivities. One of our new lady shooters was having problems and Bill Miner took her under his wing to help her out. At one point she had a rifle jam and I believe it was Top Notch that took the gun apart and cleared the jam. Just another example of the camaraderie among Cowboy Action Shooters. We thank Bodie-601 and Longshot for helping out in the posse-leading department. Our very own cook shack queen, Sherri, brought a Marzipan Cheesecake with Raspberry Sauce. It was to die for! She received well-deserved complements. Thank you Sherri.
