Desperado Declares

The weather for our August match was a little on the warm side but not too hot to shoot and have fun (is it ever?). We trim our stages down for the summer so we finish earlier than usual. Tex Fiddler couldn't shoot with us Sunday due to back problems. As the story goes, Tex was shopping at the grocery store and when he leaned over to check the price of lite beer on the bottom shelf, his back went out. I guess shopping is harder on a man than moving steel targets around a couple of times a month. I want to thank High Country, Frito Bandito, J.J. Johnson and Calamity Candy for helping us out in the posse-leading department.

Lead D'Spencer celebrated his Twenty First birthday Sunday and attended the match, do ya thing he likes to shoot. We all sang “Happy Birthday!” (if you can call that singing) and had birthday cake.

Thanks to all of the members and non-members who help set up and tear down the stages every month.

Don't forget The Great Northfield Raid on October 14th, 15th and 16th. It promises to be the best ever. Dinner right after the match on Saturday and lunch on Sunday is included with the entry fee.
