Desperado Declares

By golly, it was great to be able to hold a match after two months of flood and mud interference.  For a while it looked as if we were going to be shut down again in March.  But the rain gods finally gave us a break.

We got to set up on Saturday before the rain started and shot a good match on Sunday with no rain at all. I could tell you about how many times we fixed the road and shooting bays in the last two months but I won't bore you with all of that.

The punch line to the January and February deluge joke played on us is that we got to put on a match and it was GREAT to see you all, Everybody seemed to have a good time. Our cook shack crew was back and did their usual superb job. Our computer must have been damp and a little cranky (sorry about that) but we got the scores straightened out.

We will have a raffle at our May match.

All proceeds will go to benefit

The Society for the Conservation of Bighorn Sheep.

1st prize: a replica model of a Wells Fargo stage coach.

2nd prize: a hunter’s knife with a stag horn handle

3rd prize: a hunter’s knife with an oak handle

4th prize: a $50 gift certificate for Cabela's

Tickets will sell for $5.00 each or six for $25.00.

Hope to see ya all next time.
