Desperado Declares

Hey guys, after the sweltering months of July through October, we finely got a beautiful day for shooting. It was cool, but not cold and the skies were deep blue with great puffy white clouds. 

There was a good turnout.  We saw a lot of old friends and made some new ones.  Goldenruel, our chief scribe, even shot with us and had a wonderful time despite being DQ’d for improper cross drawing on one stage.  Ruel’s been a single action shooter since the thrilling days of yesteryear but has never really cottoned to the fact that we use two revolvers now-a-days.  Bear with him; he’s a good guy.

Authentic Cowboy Coffee Anyone?

We came across this recipe for the real stuff in a Ventura County Innkeepers cookbook.  We offered it to Lane Frank for the cook shack, but he turned it down disdainfully.  Anyway, you might want to try it at home.

Add water to coffee.

Boil for 30 minutes. 

Throw in a horseshoe.  If it sinks, add more coffee.
