Desperado DeclaresI believe we had the best Northfield Raid ever. We want to thank all the fine people who came out to shoot with us. We hope you had a good time and will come back to our monthly matches. It never could have happened without the Northfield Raiders and Panorama Sportsman’s Club folks who worked long and hard to make Northfield a success. There are too many people to mention by name and I’m afraid I would leave someone out. NEXT MATCH:November 16th

More awards
The CRPA Golden Bear Award went to: Lead D’Spencer
The Thunderstick Memorial Award went to: Johnny Mack Brown
Stand
Pat Steve, Sparks, Jackson Turner, Frito Bandito, Big Jack and
Lefty Longridge (who was also the top shooter.)

We were very happy to welcome the Boy Scouts as observers at the Great Northfield Raid. We are concerned that young people, especially in Southern California, have very little exposure to shooting. Not as a wholesome family sport, anyway.

The Boy Scouts had a great time and expressed real interest in getting involved. They were a great bunch of kids and were courteous to us old fogies, never getting in the way. Amanda McDaniel, who ran our cook shack for many years, is in charge of our new youth program. If you have a scout in your family, or want to learn more, contact her at: Amcdaniel@uniworld.com
