NEXT MONTH:

The great Northfield raid

October 17th, 18th and 19th

Desperado Declares

We had a fun match in spite of the September heat. There were some mix-ups on the scores from the stages and some computer errors, so the match results I announced were not all correct. However the results listed here and on the website should be correct. Our website was down for a while, but is back up and running.

Special thanks to Larry Curtis for ridding the Northfield Bank of those pesky bees (and sons of bees) that were stampeding our hard working tellers.

The 11th Annual Great Northfield Raid is coming up next month.  The Northfield guys and gals have been putting in a lot of overtime to insure it’s one of the best ever. We would sure like to see you there.  Not only will you have a great time, but you’ll be helping to keep open one of the only shooter-owned ranges in California.  We truly need and appreciate your support.

the gazette goes online!

Even though we’re as dedicated to 19th century technology as the next cowboy, the mortgage on Northfield has stretched the town’s budget mighty thin.  Costs of printing and postage make it too expensive to continue delivering the news by pony express.  Not to worry, we’ll still be getting the word out.  All you’ll have to do is go to our website:

not bad shooting, pilgrim

Cowboys get around and a bunch of Northfield Raiders did us proud at the recent John Wayne Shoot.

Solomon Star won 3rd Senior Duelist and came in 2nd in the 400-yard off-hand rifle competition.  Wild Bird won the bronze medal in Ladies’ 49er and Tex Fiddler won a bronze in Men’s 49er as well as a silver in the Speed Shotgun event.  That’s a big, “Yee Ha!” for our guys!  Why don’t you good folks amble down to Northfield and see if you can outshoot them.
